Tiny update

Well I forgot to vacuum on Monday but I remembered on Tuesday :)
This week we had pan cooked beef stew and rosemary/thyme chicken which was GOOD!

My earrings this week were huge stars for disco day at school, sadly my hair covered them up but it was fun to wear them! I've ordered a new pair of heart shaped earrings, can't wait to wear them!

By the end of next month we will have the high interest credit card paid off! Yay!

Cooking Goals

Update on #71 Cook 5 new recipes a month
We tried this last week doing stir fry but Glenn had to do the actual stir fry because my hand slipped while cutting onions and I hit the marinade bowl and was covered in raw meat and teryaki hit me and my new Lane Bryant top, I burst into tears and Glenn had to finish for me.
However that fail of mine was also a win for goal #75 use every kitchen appliance we got for the wedding!

I did try a new porkchop recipe last week but it stunk since I forgot the recipe card at work and had to do it from memory.

This week I looked through the recipe books. On Monday we had.....OMFG I can't remember. I think that sums up my week I can't even remember dinner from MONDAY. Jeez.
Tuesday we had ginger pork chops from the recipe that I had previously forgot. It was ok, I bought the wrong kind of onions so it wasn't as good as it could have been......

Thursday we had Korean BBQ from the crockpot. Pretty greasy and definitely not the same as the picture :\

Tonight? Pan fried salmon, which I burned. I'm STILL waiting on Glenn to get home so we can eat. Blech.

Mark 1/2 of one of Goal 32! While we were waiting to go see Indiana Jones at the $1 theater we walked next door to the mall and played:
From 101

It is so dark b/c the putt putt is lit by black lights. It was very fun, at least this time we didn't ROAST like when we did putt putt on our honeymoon.

#18We also got our Wii balance board back yesterday and I have now completed all of the yoga moves and games. I'm really sore today!
#27-Wear earrings-did that today

Sept. 1st was my start day and we (me, DH and his best friend Daevid) went to the Georgia Aquarium to fill one of my goals. We took a lot of video which I will post later but here are some pics.

On the way home we ate at the Macaroni Grill thus fulfilling #34 Eat at 4 new restaurants

#27 Wear earrings to work at least once a week has been going well-I even had some compliments!

I've italicized ones I'm working on and bolded ones fulfilled from my first post.

Well my goals are set to start September 1! We are going to have a "kick off" of sorts by going to the GA Aquarium (#35). I'm very excited!

I've finished the first of 84 books (#55). I had been reading it when I made the goals. It was Deception Point by Dan Brown and it was FANTASTIC. Plot twists you don't see coming, interesting characters.....just wonderful.

1001 Days!

I ran across this on mustloveweddings.com (which I am totally addicted to....) and was intrigued! I've started my list. Anyone else think they might want to do it? I'm going to start Sept. 1st (end May 30 2011)

Creating your own 1001 Day Project

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

Some common goal setting tips:
1. Be decisive. Know exactly what you want, why you want it, and how you plan to achieve it.

2. Stay Focused. Any goal requires sustained focus from beginning to end. Constantly evaluate your progress.

3. Welcome Failure. Frequently, very little is learned from a venture that did not experience failure in some form. Failure presents the opportunity to learn and makes the success more worthy.

4. Write down your goals. It clarifies your thinking and reinforces your commitment.

5. Keep your goals in sight. Review them frequently, and ensure that they are always at the forefront of your thinking.
