Feliz Navidad-It used to be that this song started off my Christmas. We ALWAYS seemed to play this for our orchestra concerts. Here it is with Rudolph!

Today's post is one of my new favorites-I heard it on the radio last year and fell in love with it immediately. I finally tracked it down this year. This piece is WONDERFUL for a music teacher- different tempos, singers, repeated patterns.....The tempo picks up at 1:57 if you want to skip past the slow intro :)

Today was the first day of me doing Christmas lessons with the kids. One of my favorite things to do with them is comparing two versions of Pachelbel's Canon. First we listen to a version with kids singing then this one. Normally the kids groan when this one starts but when that guitar kicks in they really start to enjoy it!

I should note that I really hate this song normally, this is one of the few versions I like.

Today's video is one that I quite literally grew up hearing. My mother had taped the Sesame Street Christmas Special from '78 off the TV and we always seemed to pull it out and watch it. One of my goals for my chorus group is to perform this with the sign language.
